Endemol and IceMobile launch UMTS service

This so called 'Call2Video' service is a new and simple way of offering video on mobile phones through UMTS, the network for mobile broadband, regardless of the UMTS supplier. With every UMTS enabled mobile phone the newest Bad Candy episodes and video clips can be watched through a 'video conference'.

The 'Call2Video' service - developed by IceMobile - enables viewers to use any UMTS phone to watch the latest developments around the Dutch girl band, just by dialling a number instead of establishing an Internet connection. 'Bad Candy was Here' is produced by Endemol Netherlands and airs every Saturday on Nickelodeon. The soap shows how the band members: guitarist Chantal, drummer Stephanie, bass player Janneke and singer Nathalie, are looking forward to a mega concert.

Reinoud van Dommelen, Producer Interactive at Endemol Netherlands: "As largest leading producer of entertainment in the Netherlands, we make use of our expertise to offer creative content for every possible platform. Via the newest techniques 'Bad Candy Was Here' is now available for the fans - also thanks to IceMobile's Call2Video - anytime and anywhere. "

Ralph Cohen, CEO of IceMobile: "We are delighted that Endemol has chosen for our 'Call2Video' solution. 'Call2Video' forms a new and important product within our UMTS-strategy. For that reason we are very proud to bring it into play for Endemol around the popular formula 'Bad Candy Was Here'."

'Bad Candy Was Here' also offers a scale of other mobile services, which don't require UMTS-phones, such as wallpapers and ringtones.
